“From the vineyards to the glass” is our philosophy. The estate was established in Malintrada, Italy, back in the 1950s. Vittorino, the founder, modernized traditional winemaking by introducing avant-garde techniques, while remaining loyal to the values of hard work, attention to detail and love for the land.
Today, all his know-how has been passed down to his children who manage the vineyards covering almost 100 hectares between Malintrada, Cessalto, Chiarano and Motta di Livenza, known as some of Italy’s most interesting winemaking areas. Now in its third generation, the company has grown and developed extensive experience in winemaking technology, but its philosophy has remained the same since day one: from the vineyard to the glass, careful monitoring of the entire wine production process, a working philosophy that rewards quality, the family’s hard work and passion.
Give love, receive love – that is the secret of Vittorino’s grapes. Respect for the environment and the protection of the land and its landscapes, are the guiding principles behind the Rigoni estate, which holds as fundamental aspects of social and environmental well-being, based on equality and sustainability.
Its prime location, the diverse soil characteristics of the area, combined with a microclimate and deep knowledge of the techniques of cultivation, make the land suitable to enhance the character of the different grape varieties.
The vineyards of Cessalto, near the river Piavon, an ancient branch of the Piave, are ideal for the production of premium white wines. Here the grapes grow from a soil that enhances their flavor, freshness and its long-lasting aromatic qualities. The vineyards of Motta di Livenza on Ca’ Lunghetta, an ancient Roman road, are characterized by heavy clay soils, rich in minerals, and perfect for the production of great red wines.
